Dear Friend,

You know every dog deserves a safe home, a warm bed to curl up on, and a caring family who loves them.

Every dog deserves this—but not all of them are fortunate enough to have it. This winter, dozens of neglected dogs will suffer alone in cold backyards, shivering and lonely—without proper shelter to protect them from the elements.

Without your help, many may not make it through the icy rain and bone-chilling nights to come.

PETA's fieldworkers meet dogs who are forced to languish outside every day, left to withstand torrential rain and temperatures so cold that they can be deadly.

These loyal, loving dogs are often chained to trees or to a cinder block with little more than an overturned barrel or a piece of wood propped against a fence to serve as their "shelter"—if they have anything at all. They're left miserable, confined to a muddy patch of dirt day in and day out.

The essential work of PETA's field team is providing these animals with a lifeline. PETA has supplied more than 7,600 doghouses to dogs who would otherwise go without shelter during the frigid winter months. And not only do our sturdy, durable doghouses offer some protection from extreme winter cold and scorching summer heat, we also deliver each one with treats, a toy, and straw to provide extra insulation against the cold.

Your gift will also send an extra-special treat to a lonely dog: a bag of vegan dog biscuits from PETA's friends at v-dog! Please, make a gift now to help a dog in need this winter.
