November 9, 2020 | DR. JORDAN B. PETERSON

Our species has come up through epochs, eons of absolute brutal privation, and difficulty, and we have managed to organize ourselves to where we can survive with nature.

The UN projects that abject poverty has been decreasing by 50%, and almost no one knows about it. The fastest-growing economies in the world are in Sub-Saharan Africa. While people everywhere might not be rich, they might just be richer than before.

This realization is something to celebrate if we can all take a moment to pause and look towards the future.

Progress: Ten Reasons to Look Forward to the Future

Johan Norberg

Our world seems to be collapsing. The daily news cycle reports the deterioration: divisive politics across the Western world, racism, poverty, war, inequality, hunger. While politicians, journalists and activists from all sides talk about the damage done, Johan Norberg offers an illuminating and heartening analysis of just how far we have come in tackling the greatest problems facing humanity. In the face of fear-mongering, darkness and division, the facts are unequivocal: the golden age is now.
