On Tuesday night, it was announced that my Senate race in Georgia would advance to a runoff -- a victory in itself that demonstrates the unrelenting dedication of the grassroots movement that's carried us this far. Now, we're just two months away from a runoff that could help decide crucial control of the Senate, and my campaign and our party are gearing up for an even tougher fight than the one it took to get here. We are going to need every person on this team on board, so I'm asking for your support today:
Will you rush $10 to my campaign and the DNC so we can finish this thing? I believe we can win this runoff and flip this Senate seat, John, but I cannot do it alone. Every dollar makes a difference as we prepare for this runoff.
When I was a kid, my family was short on money -- but we were long on faith. I am asking you to join me in sharing that same faith with me today, because I know we can win if we fight for it. And I know that if we do everything we can to prepare for this runoff now, then we can shock the nation by proving that Democrats can still win everywhere, even in the Deep South.
When I started this race, nobody thought Democrats had a chance in Georgia. It was considered a safe Republican seat for my unelected GOP opponent, but what we've already accomplished together has proven what is still possible. I'm still fighting this fight because every person in Georgia and in this country deserves affordable health care, to have their right to vote protected, and to be treated with dignity. I hope I can count on you to stay in the fight with me too, John.
