Hi there,

I'm thrilled to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on their historic election.

One hundred years after women won the battle for suffrage, we finally have a woman Vice President who little girls and boys across the country can look up to. It's about time and, as Kamala said, she's the first, but she won't be the last.

The challenges ahead of us are many, from tackling the COVID-19 pandemic to fixing our broken economy, to reuniting the country, and nurturing our democratic institutions. But I know that President Biden will do an exemplary job in taking them on -- and I am proud to be part of the team, along with Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Congresswoman Annie Kuster, and Congressman Chris Pappas, who will be working with him.

I also want to congratulate YOU, everyone. This last year, this entire campaign, and indeed the last four years have been trying. Through everything, you never lost faith as you fought for a better country for all of us. For that, I am so grateful.

Please celebrate safely and enjoy the moment. Tomorrow, we get back to work.
