Dear John,

This election season has been one for the ages.

Thankfully, it won’t be remembered as the end of democracy in America.

We’re grateful to see Trump sent packing, and eager to see what the future holds in store under the most conservative Democratic president since Truman.

With Biden taking the White House, our work to defend the future continues, and—thanks to your help—builds on a stronger foundation with each passing day.

On the same day that voters around the country chose Biden to replace Trump, they also expanded with the Squad with the additions of three new members from New York City, and my hometown of St. Louis, MO.

Sadly, however, despite her record of enabling President Trump and undermining the Squad’s vision, San Franciscans re-elected incumbent Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Yet, with your support, our campaign won more votes against Pelosi than any previous challenger in her 30-year career.

We’ve tripled our share of the vote since my first election in June 2018, and compelled the Speaker to shift policy positions on half a dozen major issues.

As an immigrant with no property facing the head of the Democratic Party at the zenith of her career, I’m quite aware of how entirely I owe our supporters for the chance to promote our shared values.

I shared my gratitude with those who joined us the night of the election for a virtual post-election gathering.

We’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with updates on my plans going forward, as well as reflections on the still-unfolding drama in Washington.

Thanks for standing with us! The future remains at risk, and we remain committed to defending it from the predation of the failed corporate past. But, together, we have done a great deal to save it from the worst that the past had to offer.
