Lee Zeldin Declares Victory Over Nancy Goroff

I am deeply honored and humbled that the families of Long Island have
entrusted me to continue representing our great Congressional District.


Since the day I was first elected, I have been willing to work with anyone to
find common ground however possible. Whether it's coronavirus response
resources, the $2 billion Electron Ion Collider headed now to Brookhaven
National Laboratory, combating MS-13, securing critical Army Corps of Engineers
projects and much more, our work has delivered for Long Island families, just
like our work with Democrats helped get the Great American Outdoors Act over
the finish line, full funding for the National Estuary Program and SeaGrant,
permanent funding for the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, and many other
important priorities.


As America enters its next chapter, I am confident we will defeat the
Coronavirus and continue growing our economy. To achieve these goals, that
means working across the political aisle. Having been ranked the 12th most
bipartisan Congressman in America by Georgetown University and the Lugar
Center, I look forward to continuing to do my part to make those goals a
reality.


Working together does not mean compromising our values. To the men and women
of law enforcement, I say thank you for all you do to keep our communities
safe. I unapologetically support these amazing men and women, especially when
they are under attack.


I’d like to thank my family – my wife, Diana, and our 14-year-old identical
twin daughters, Mikayla and Arianna, for their unyielding support.
Congratulations to my opponent, Nancy Goroff, her volunteers, and other
supporters for running a hard fought campaign.


Finally, to the voters of Long Island I say thank you. I am proud to have
always called Long Island my home and it’s an honor to represent the greatest
Congressional District in America.

field, campaigning hard like we were behind no matter what, taking nothing for
granted, refusing to be complacent, and delivering our largest margin of

Lee's Update Following His Latest Call With President Trump

Friday Morning
A nation divided will not unite and heal without a transparent process of
reviewing on the merits alleged voting irregularities in close statewide
Presidential results. Quite frankly, any alleged voting irregularity anywhere
should be closely scrutinized so the American public can have full faith in the
process now and moving forward. All US election results should always be tamper
proof. This is why I strongly support voter ID and allowing candidates to have
witnesses closely observe ballot counting, and oppose ballot harvesting and
universal mail in voting, among other proposals. At this point in time, there
is highly likely to be some recounts and judicial branch involvement before a
Presidential winner can be decided.

Friday Night
Just got off the phone with President Trump. He's still passionately fighting
hard for America late this Friday evening and he's still all in. Who else could
have been doing 4-5 rallies like that every day across America at the end of
this campaign? I passed along to him all of your best wishes you have sent to
me to share with him these past few hours and days. His spirit and motivation
to make America greater than ever has never been stronger.
