When we launched this campaign, I could have never anticipated how many people would become a part of this mission. And every day, even up to the final moments of our campaign, I was grateful for all of you who joined us.
And before I go too far, I just want to say thank you to all of you who chipped in a few bucks. Who made phone calls, sent texts, knocked on doors or volunteered: this victory would not have been possible without you.
We should take a moment to enjoy this victory, but then it’s time to get to work. Because while the election may be coming to an end, we still face a pandemic, a struggling economy, and deep division in our country.
We need a Congress that will use science, data, and facts to solve these problems, and we need to get to work now because many of these issues cannot wait.
I can’t thank you enough for joining me on this mission. There’s so much more to come and I would be honored if you would stick with us during the next phase of this journey.
