On Monday, Nigel and Richard announced that we had submitted an application to the Electoral Commission to change our party name to Reform UK. Since writing to you, we have been overwhelmed by the response. Tens of thousands of you have already made clear that you want to play your part in helping us to reform British politics!

We all know from our incredible journey last year, that to bring about the kind of change our country needs takes a huge team effort. Not only that, 2019 proved that everybody has a part to play.

Next May, elections will be taking place across the country. Local elections will see thousands of candidates campaigning for seats at all tiers of local government. Alongside that, we have devolved elections in Wales and Scotland as well as Assembly elections in London. Finally, Police and Crime Commissioner candidates will be campaigning across England and Wales.

On Monday, Nigel and Richard invited supporters to register their interest in standing for Reform UK in elections next year. Already, In less than a week, nearly 2000 supporters have done just that, with more registering every day. If you want to play your part by standing as a candidate for our party next year, you can still register your interest here ([link removed]) .

Next week, we will send out an application form to everybody who registers their details and we can’t wait to get our campaigns underway. After all, with a u-turn government that’s spinning in circles, a Labour Party in the midst of a fresh civil war and the entire political class supporting a disastrous lockdown, our party is going to have plenty to say.

We’ve already changed history in bringing about Brexit and returning democracy to our county. Now it’s time for us to Reform that democracy into something that we can all be proud of. We hope you’ll feel able to play your part.
