You marched. You organized. You rallied. And you voted!

Because of your activism and energy along with millions of other Americans standing together, the most corrupt president in history has been defeated!

Now it’s time to let the corruption cleanup begin. We know toxic big money interests, billionaires, and wealthy corporations will try to shape the agenda in Washington. Republicans led by Mitch McConnell will do whatever they can to derail reform, and protect big corporations. But Joe Biden pledged to work for the American people, and it’s up to us to hold him to that.

Trump attacked our democracy in every possible way. His racist, sexist, xenophobic, corrupt, treasonous, and completely un-American presidency represents everything we stand opposed to. His defeat is a momentous victory.

Now we must take advantage of this critical moment to pass the reforms our country desperately needs. While we congratulate President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, we know reform won’t come without hard work and organizing. Mitch McConnell and his Republicans will be trying to block progress every step of the way. Corporate lobbyists and billionaire donors will try to stand in the way of real reform.

But the American people voted for Biden and Harris in record numbers - and they didn’t come out to vote so Mitch McConnell and Republicans could derail or impede critical reforms and cabinet appointments - or so corporate lobbyists could stop progress on critical issues like climate change, healthcare, fair taxes, and so much more. Biden must use his mandate to fight for the American people, who came out in massive numbers to support him.

And that means taking action to pass the critical reforms our democracy needs. In 2019 Democrats in the House passed HR1, the For The People Act, to finally take on the influence of big corporate money in politics, voter suppression, and gerrymandering. A new Biden administration has an incredible opportunity to take action to pass reform. 

Help us keep pushing a new Biden administration to do the right thing: Listen to the people, NOT toxic money, and pass reform!
