Friend --
Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy just made an absurd and, frankly, dangerous claim about the outcome of the 2018 election.
At a press conference last week, and without a shred of evidence, Rep. Kevin McCarthy spread conspiracy theories that Democrats engaged in "election fraud" when we flipped seven California House seats. He specifically called out TJ's narrow win over David Valadao to insinuate foul play.
Well, here's the truth: election fraud did happen in 2018. But it was in North Carolina where Republicans stole votes from elderly and African American voters to sway the race. In California, McCarthy and his cronies lost fair and square because we rejected their terrible policies like repealing the Affordable Care Act.
If McCarthy was really concerned about fraud, he'd take a good hard look at his own party. But if he wants to spread lies about our race, he should pay a price for it -- and in a language he's sure to understand:

Rather than look inward about how they're failing the American people, Republicans are so quick to shift the blame at "rigged" elections and "fake news." It really is sad.
We don't think it's a winning strategy, but we still can't let them get away with these false claims.
Thanks in advance for chipping in.
