Chuck Schumer

Friend --

We can now say that Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States and Kamala Harris will be the next Vice President of the United States. President-elect Biden will be a great president for all Americans, and Democrats in the Senate are going to do everything we can to help him get things done to help the American people.

A Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate would be the biggest difference maker to helping working families across the country and in Georgia where, for too long, they have been denied the help they need by President Trump, Mitch McConnell and a Republican-led Senate. Joe Biden won Georgia and so many other states because his agenda brings America together and helps working families. The best way to ensure that a positive agenda can be carried out and deliver help to working families in Georgia and across the country is to elect Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to the Senate.

The nation is facing unprecedented challenges: the greatest economic crisis in seventy-five years, the greatest public health crisis in a century, the climate crisis, and worsening income inequality and racial injustice. The American people have placed their faith in president-elect Joe Biden to confront those challenges head-on to relieve their suffering, repair our democracy, recover our economy, and rebuild a country, and a planet, for this generation and the next.

The current President is wrong to make baseless claims of election fraud and accuse the election of being stolen from him. These false allegations are an assault on the most bedrock principle in our democracy: free and fair elections. Joe Biden has won this election fair and square and Republican leaders must unequivocally condemn the current president’s rhetoric and work to ensure the peaceful transfer of power on January 20th.

Sincerely,

Chuck Schumer
