This week’s election was a reminder to never underestimate the power of the Black vote. Despite the pandemic and deliberate barriers, voters have done their job, turned out in record numbers, and selected new leaders to ensure that we can care for our families and move us forward to a better future.

Now that the will of the voters is clear and President Donald Trump knows he has lost this election, he wants to interfere with the vote counting and have the courts throw out our ballots for his own gain. In America, the voters decide who will represent us, not the courts. And it is the people’s will that succeeded.

This is a win for racial justice with a Black woman being elected to the White House as Vice President for the first time in history. It’s also a win as we see local races where Black, Brown, indigenous, and progressive leaders taking the helm.

Advancement Project National Office’s Executive Director Judith Browne Dianis joins as co-host of The Sip [[link removed]] with BlackPAC [[link removed]] , Higher Heights for America [[link removed]] , National Women's Law Center [[link removed]] , and The League [[link removed]] to create a safe and trusted space for Black women to be in community and continue to have conversation about how we move forward.

The conversation continues tomorrow as Advancement Project National Office joins The Sip to explore the work that was done which led us to this moment as co-hosts sit down with activists who break down how organizers on the ground made history with the 2020 Election. You don’t want to miss it.
