While election results across the country are hopefully wrapping up very soon, one thing is clear: the election in Georgia is far from over. In less than two months, voters in Georgia will return to the ballot box ALL OVER AGAIN to determine who will represent us.
I'm not going to lie. This is tough. Voters JUST turned out in historic numbers during a pandemic. It's going to take a MASSIVE organizing and outreach effort to keep voters engaged and get them back to the polls to vote as the nation's COVID-19 cases spike and families struggle without relief.

More voters than ever before showed up during an incredibly intensive election period, but our work isn't over. Our team is already gearing up for an unprecedented effort to ensure the voices of Black voters in Georgia are heard on January 5. But we can't do it without you!
This year, Georgia We Dream in Black members helped educate and register thousands of voters in Fulton, Clayton, Bibb and Peach counties both in person and online once COVID-19 hit. Over the next few months we will work with our partners to ensure that Black voters in these counties and across our state turn out in record numbers to cast their ballots in January.
Georgia's deep ties to the domestic worker movement are extremely significant to NDWA; Atlanta is the birth-place of the modern domestic worker movement. In the 1880s, Black domestic workers went on strike, bringing the city’s white elite to its knees to win better pay. In the 1960s, Atlanta was where the first national domestic workers alliance was born.
We've seen firsthand the power of organizing in Georgia. History has been made here before, and it can be made again in January. We plan to hit the ground running -- knocking on doors, making calls, registering new voters, and getting people to the polls.
This is an important moment that could impact the future of this country. We know we’ve got a big job ahead of us, but we're ready to put in the work. As voters once again head to the polls, help us build up voter registration and protection efforts to ensure Black voters’ voices are heard on January 5th.
Thank you for all that you do,
Jacklyn Izsraael
