After Dan McCready’s loss in North Carolina’s 9th District, the news was flooded with what’s ahead in 2020.

But I don’t have time to think about what could happen in the coming months, because for me the work to defend our House majority began right after the 2018 election.

I’m defending the majority, because it’s the only way we’ll be able to continue the progress we’ve made in the House this congress. I’m fighting to protect our health care, women’s rights, and the immigrants who are part of our communities -- but I need your help. Will you chip in before tonight’s mid-month deadline to help me fight back?

Each and every day, my Democratic colleagues and I are going into battle against Mitch McConnell and everyone else who is trying to block progress. We’ve managed to pass background checks to prevent gun violence, campaign finance reform, and a minimum wage increase, but we’re not slowing down yet.

I’m looking ahead to 2020 and the steps I need to take to defend myself and my colleagues in the House. I know GOP donors will be looking through our fundraising reports to spot any sign of weakness, so we must show strong grassroots support.
