It’s clearer than ever that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will need a Democratic Senate to deliver on any of their campaign promises. Fortunately, the race for the Senate is not over―there are two runoffs in Georgia on January 5 that will determine control of the chamber.
Read about Raphael Warnock, who finished first in a field of 22 candidates this week, and Jon Ossoff, who is neck-and-neck with the incumbent David Perdue, below, then pitch in $7 to keep Georgia blue!
Sens. Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell have already indicated that, if they get the chance, they’re planning to shift to austerity after spending years giving away our money to Trump and his rich friends. This is intended to sabotage the Biden administration before it starts―but we can stop them by winning these final elections!

Social Security was on the ballot this year―and it won.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as President and Vice President on January 20. When every vote is counted, it will be clear that voters overwhelmingly repudiated Donald Trump’s 4 years of attempting to defund and destroy Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
But a dark cloud hangs over the Biden Presidency―the Senate has not yet been decided. If Mitch McConnell retains the gavel, he will have veto power over every single appointment Biden makes, and everything that we try to pass. He’ll put the brakes on COVID relief legislation, and everyone born in 1960 will see their Social Security automatically cut because of a technical glitch caused by the pandemic, a fix for which McConnell has already declared dead on arrival in the Senate.
Control of the U.S. Senate, and what we can accomplish over the next two years, will be decided in Georgia, where they have two runoff elections in January! Split a donation today between us and the candidates to keep Georgia blue and rip the gavel from Mitch McConnell’s hands!
McConnell has promised to be the grim reaper for any Democratic administration. In 2009, he stifled economic response legislation during the Great Recession in the hopes of sabotaging Barack Obama’s presidency, and there is no doubt that he will do it again during this even greater crisis.
Joe Biden is going to win Georgia―and we can win these two U.S. Senate seats. Democrats went from holding zero offices in Arizona to holding both Senate seats in just 2 years, and the same level of deep organizing has been happening in Georgia. These are races that we can win.
Rev. Raphael Warnock is heading to a runoff against Republican Kelly Loeffler in their special election. You may remember that Loeffler was implicated in an insider trading scam where she likely used insider information at the outset of the pandemic to enrich herself while she lied to the American people that all was well.
Jon Ossoff will match up against David Perdue, who is under investigation for insider trading as well (though not necessarily COVID-related insider trading).
Whether it’s passing critical legislation to expand Social Security, strengthen Medicare or lower prescription drug prices, or appoint federal judges who won’t attack our democracy and our earned benefits, we need Democratic control of the U.S. Senate. But dark money is going to flood into these races, because Wall Street wants Mitch to be able to thwart the will of the people. We must fight back!
