Jummah Mubarak and Happy Saturday!

Needed a few days with family, but I’m here and as we promised all year—I can’t wait to build back better with compassion and justice.

Today was a good day. We're at the light at the end of the tunnel of Election Day*s*. And it’s resulting in Joe Biden & Kamala Harris being victorious. They will be sworn in as our next President & Vice President. If you ask me, that can’t happen soon enough.

However, our work is far from complete. We need to heal as a country and keep the pressure up for our values that center people over profits, and justice as the supreme standard. I meant it when I said I don’t view our interactions this year as transactional, but instead I view them as an ignition for a transformational future.

I’m in this fight with you. I may not be heading to Congress but I’ll be here organizing and continuing to empower new voices and people to enter the fold. Stay tuned.
