We elected Gun Sense Candidates up and down the ballot.

America just elected the strongest gun safety ticket in history!

John, we did it. The American people did it. The Associated Press has announced that Joe Biden has won the presidential election.

President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be the strongest gun safety administration in American history.

We cannot overstate how big of a moment this is for gun safety. In this new administration, we can count on President-elect Biden to take meaningful steps for gun violence prevention and to honor those killed by gun violence with executive action—and make sure that the next four years of gun safety in America look nothing like the last. With this victory, the American people are one step closer to getting the common-sense gun safety policies we've long demanded, including background checks on all gun sales and a strong red flag law.

And John, this victory happened because of people like you. This election season, volunteers with Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action made more than 1.4 million calls and sent more than 2.2 million peer-to-peer text messages to voters to elect the strongest gun sense ticket ever. That's nothing short of amazing.

And our victories haven't stopped at the top of the ticket: we have maintained a Gun Sense Majority in the U.S. House. These newly-elected Gun Sense Candidates take us even closer to signing meaningful gun safety legislation into law for the first time in almost 25 years and honoring the will of the American people.

John, these victories prove not only that the American people support a future that's free from gun violence, but that they demand leaders who listen to their needs and give them solutions that work.

Let's celebrate these victories; they're yours, and they've been a long time coming. Donate today to keep our momentum going and continue our fight to end gun violence.

Stay tuned for updates, and we can't wait to build the future of our movement with you.
