John,
Together, through our hard work and dedication, we made history and secured a victory for federal and D.C. government workers in the 2020 election.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ historic victory in this election is a testament to the unprecedented number of Americans who voted for unity over division and are ready to face the many challenges ahead of us together, as one nation, with dignity and justice for all.
AFGE looks forward to working with the Biden-Harris administration to tackle COVID-19 related challenges and to restore critical civil service protections which have be stripped from federal employees over the past four years.
We thank each of you who volunteered, contributed, sent text messages, made phone calls, canvassed, or cast a ballot – in-person or by mail – in this critical election. Your efforts to organize and turn out our fellow AFGE members were integral to this historic outcome, and I am so proud to have been in this fight alongside you.
Together, as a union and as a nation, we will move forward and advance the agenda of federal and D.C. government employees and their families.
In Solidarity,
Dr. Everett B. Kelley
AFGE National President
