Dear John,
Over the past four years, our nation witnessed the atrocities of a decidedly anti-immigration and racist agenda.
But together we fought back. And together we stopped or blunted the impact of many of the most egregious immigration policies.
It’s been an incredible effort for our community—albeit a difficult, heartbreaking, and exhausting one. But it’s been an effort that I believe we will look back on with pride, knowing that we stood on the right side of history and did all that we could.
Now we have an opportunity to right the wrongs of the current administration and achieve progress through lasting reforms.
The American Immigration Council stands ready to reshape the immigration system with the Biden-Harris administration. There are few quick fixes—and there are challenges. There are competing public priorities and we are wide-eyed about the divisiveness plaguing our nation—including around immigration.
The Council will act quickly where we can. We will continue to advance meaningful reforms by:

and
Belonging
