John, it's official:
The presidential race has been called — Donald Trump has been defeated, and Joe Biden will be our next President.
And I'm thrilled to say that Kamala Harris will be our next Vice President — the first woman, the first Black person, and the first Indian-American to ever hold our nation’s second-highest office.
This victory belongs to us — to you. It was only through hard work and organizing that we were able to turn out the communities and voters who flipped these states and won this election.
But our work won't end today. Our country still faces so many crises, from the pandemic and economic collapse to climate change and systemic racism.
This election is the door and not the destination. There's too much still at stake, and too much left to do. I am ready to go to Congress and deliver on the vision we built during our campaign.
