We did it!! We elected Joe Biden President of the United States! Millions of Latinx voters across the country and in key states like Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia gave Biden this victory. We rejected Donald Trump’s racism, hateful rhetoric, and harmful policies, and have given Joe Biden a mandate to begin repairing the immense damage caused by Trump and his enablers in Congress.

Because of your incredible support, Voto Latino registered 601,330 voters this election cycle -- far surpassing our goal of 500,000 -- and we mobilized 3.7 million! Many of these voters were in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada. 73% of people we registered were between the ages of 18 and 39. Four million young Latinxs turned 18 since 2016. They heard Donald Trump call their loved ones “rapists” and “criminals,” but couldn’t do anything about it then. This year, they remembered those words and took it upon themselves to reject those notions.

But our work is far from over. We will continue to advocate for policies that protect the health and prosperity of the Latinx community. And we will engage with the Biden administration to make sure that issues affecting Latinxs are prioritized and addressed. The first of these will be ending the COVID-19 pandemic, which has taken a devastating toll on Latinxs and other communities of color. We know that with supporters like you on our side, we’ll be able to keep working to improve the lives of all Latinxs.
