Thank you for believing in me and our movement. Thank you for being part of our Squad!

Thank you to my team and hundreds of volunteers for agreeing that a district like ours is a force to deliver love over hate in the long arc of history bending toward justice.

Together, we focused on direct voter contact throughout Michigan’s majority-Black 13th district―to empower our residents and let everyone know that our voices and our votes matter. Thanks to record voter turnout in Michigan, we defeated this impeached president and we set this country on a path toward justice and equity.

Take a look at what we accomplished together during this campaign:

In Michigan alone, we also saved a Senate seat, flipped our state Supreme Court blue, and won important local and state races. Throughout the country, progressives won seats in the House, where we’ll continue pushing the Democratic Party left and expanding ideas of what’s politically possible. And we still have a chance to retake the Senate.

Thank you for being a critical part of our movement for change. Today, let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished together. Over the next few weeks and months, let’s make sure that all of the votes are counted and ensure that Trump leaves office. Remember, the Biden/Harris administration is not the destination—it’s a doorway to possibility for the world we all deserve, which we all create together. We will push to ensure that bold policies are being put forth to ensure that everyone has the ability to thrive.
