It’s official, team: Joe Biden will be our next Commander-in-Chief.

Our team — this team, of military families, Gold Star families, veterans, and allies of our movement — were a driving force that led to this victory. We should all be so proud.

We know, more than most, what President-elect Joe Biden meant when he said this was a fight for the soul of our nation. Our families, friends, loved ones, and patriots we’ll never know personally have made insurmountable sacrifices in the name of this very democracy that a breathless nation watched play out this week.

And though today is a day to celebrate, it’s clear that tomorrow and the days following it will require we, as a country united, must reckon with what occurred over the last four years — and commit to work harder than ever in pursuit of our shared values of racial, social, political, and economic justice and equality for all.

Everything we accomplished that led to this moment was fueled by a grassroots movement of dedicated activists, chipping in an average of $31 at a time, proving that when we harness our collective power we are unstoppable. We redefined what’s possible.

And because of the early investments into this team and program we made this time last year, we held the House for Democrats and sent President-elect Biden and Vice-President-elect Harris to the White House this week.
