Did you hear the news about Equal Pay Day? This year it's on 20 November and we're calling on the government to take action. Here's how you can join us:
On Equal Pay Day, can you wear an Equal Pay facemask to show the Government they must take action on pay discrimination.
Share pictures of your mask on social media on Equal Pay Day to help us get some attention. Use the hashtag #EqualPayDay to help us share your photos more widely.
You can draw or paint on your mask, stick a sticker on or even sew it - it just needs to use the words Equal Pay to get our message across. And see below for how you can get hold of a unique Fawcett Society Equal Pay mask. Have a look at the first picture in this email to take a peak at what they look like. There are some examples below of some masks that our team put together.
We're also excited to let you know that we've produced a limited edition Equal Pay mask. And we'll be giving a free mask to the first 10 people to join the Fawcett Society as members today. They'll go quickly so join as a member now.
This year coronavirus has heightened the inequality and we're at a crossroads for women and work. Decisive action is vital to make our hopes, and not our fears, a reality.
Some top tips for making your mask on Equal Pay Day:
Use your Equal Pay pin badge
Write on a disposable mask with a marker
Use a sticky label or post it note and stick it onto a mask
If you're feeling very creative have a go at sewing on the words Equal Pay
Make sure it's visible so we can get our message even further
