John -

I believe in a future where we have stopped evictions and where all of us are housed. I believe in a future where healthcare is funded and care work is valued. I believe in a future where we are all safe at work, and where we lift up the voices of all workers — especially essential workers.

I know that we will hold the next administration accountable to this vision. Because our power is undeniable.

Despite the pandemic and unconscionable attempts to suppress our vote, we showed up. All across the country, this election saw unprecedented voter turnout thanks to BIPOC organizers and voters who knew we needed to meet this moment with mass mobilization.

The cities who turned out in record numbers are mostly majority Black and brown cities where there is a long legacy of organizing for justice. Let’s be clear - there is a longstanding strategy by corporations and their allies to take power from cities. To deny us our voice and our vote. We won’t let them win.

We choose us. In the days and weeks ahead, we will celebrate each other, we will dream together about the future we are building, and we will ensure the will of the people prevails.

How you can participate:

Voters in NV, PA, NC, and AZ can still cure ballots. If you know folks in any of these states, spread the word and send them this resource [[link removed]] .

As soon as the election results are certified, our work continues. Stay tuned. We are forging a new vision of what democracy and local power look like, and we will hold our leaders accountable.
