Dear John,
Voters across the country--especially people of color, women, LGBTQ+, and members of every community vilified by the Trump administration over the last four years have turned out in record numbers to reject Trumpism and stand up for democracy.
The results are still coming in, but it is becoming increasingly clear Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will soon be the President-elect and Vice President-elect of the United States. While Donald Trump still is unwilling to accept the reality of the results, it does not matter. Our democracy is determined by the people--not one person. Jobs With Justice, alongside countless progressive organizations, activists, and others stand ready to fight to ensure every remaining ballot is counted and celebrate #DemocracyRising.
Across the country organizations, activists, and volunteers are hosting a National Day of Celebration, as we come together to champion the power we have when we come together and take control of our democracy.
Rallies and events are happening tomorrow, Saturday, November 7 across the country. So click here and find out how you can join an event near you.
Voters overwhelmingly chose new leaders to move us forward together toward a better future. We did not let anything get in the way of voting and we will not let anything get in the way of the remaining votes being counted. That's why we're rallying tomorrow and we hope you can join us!
Thank you for everything that you do. We wouldn't be joining together in celebration of #DemocracyRising without you.
We hope to see you (safely) in the streets tomorrow. Wear Jobs With Justice gear if you've got it, and don't forget your mask!
In Solidarity,
Joel
