Hello John,

With thousands of mail-in ballots still being counted, the race in Illinois' 14th Congressional District is still too close to call.

In 2018, Democratic U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood became the youngest Black woman ever elected to Congress. Now, she is running in one of the closest House races in the country.

Underwood’s team is working hard to make sure every ballot is counted and that everyone’s voices are heard. But her Trump-backed opponent Jim Oberweis is currently ahead by less than 1,500 votes, and on Wednesday he declared victory before all the votes were counted.

Let’s be clear: We need to do everything we can to make sure every vote counts. With your help, we can get Lauren Underwood over the finish line today.

Will you split a donation between me and Rep. Lauren’s Underwood’s campaign so we can re-elect Underwood to Congress for Il-14?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you for all of your support. Together, we can send a true fighter to Congress and put power back in the hands of the people.

In solidarity,

Barbara Lee
