Wyoming is home to
many small businesses, and I am always amazed by the ideas and
ingenuity that come from our state. The possibilities are endless when you
have the right tools. That’s why I host an Inventors Conference every
year aimed at helping and inspiring entrepreneurs in
Wyoming.
I held my first Inventors Conference
in 2004 as a way to help Wyoming's small business owners and inventors
succeed in the continually evolving marketplace. The conference helps
guide entrepreneurs by providing information about the patent process,
business planning, funding options and marketing. This year, the
Inventors Conference will be in Evanston at the outreach center of Western
Wyoming Community College on Sept. 21. There is no charge for the Inventors Conference and
it’s open to the public.
Whether
you're a seasoned entrepreneur, a small business owner or recently
came up with an idea you’d like to pursue further, everyone is
welcome to attend and learn how to build on ideas. I highly encourage
anyone interested to register and take advantage of the knowledge and
opportunities this conference provides. You can register now by contacting
my State Director Karen McCreery at 307-250-1489 or [email protected]. I hope to see you
there.

Enzi applauds
Dept. of Agriculture decision to cover massive irrigation
losses
U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.,
said he appreciates the Department of Agriculture for granting crop
insurance protection for producers hurt by the collapse of the
Gering-Ft. Laramie-Goshen irrigation canal tunnel, which transported water to
more than 100,000 acres of land in Wyoming and Western
Nebraska.
“This is a critical time for many Wyoming
producers," Enzi said. "This decision will help provide greater
certainty to our farmers affected by the tunnel collapse so they can prepare
for the winter and the next season.”

Wyoming delegation applauds repeal of Waters of
the United States rule
Enzi along with
U.S. Senator John Barrasso and Congresswoman Liz Cheney, all
R-Wyo., applauded the Environmental Protection Agency for announcing
final plans to repeal and replace the Obama-era Waters of the United
States regulation.
“I am
glad the administration is repealing the excessively burdensome Waters
of the United States rule, which was a massive regulatory overreach
that should have never been allowed in the first place,” Enzi said.
“This rule gave the federal government power to regulate nearly
every creek or pond. States know best how to manage our resources.
This announcement is good news for our farmers, ranchers and small
businesses."
