One of the best things about being party president is getting to know our young New Democrats – and from across the country they’ve been letting me know how excited they are about our bold proposals and our New Deal for People.

Our youth rally today in Montreal really showed how much our message has been resonating. Young activists are telling me they feel like they’re fighting for their futures in this election – and I want to make sure they know the rest of us are fighting with them.

We have an opportunity right now to capture this moment while everyone is watching. People are tired of being told to wait for solutions and now more than ever, we need to keep pushing ahead with our vision for a fairer and more just Canada. That means hitting our next campaign fundraising target of $150,000 by Thursday at midnight. Can we count on you to chip in $3 now?

Decades of neglect and cuts by Liberals and Conservatives have hurt young Canadians. They’re wondering if they’ll ever be able to afford a home and how they’re going to pay for their medication. And they’re facing mountains of student debt and precarious work.

Young people shouldn’t have to worry about their futures – we need leaders who will do something about it.

Thousands of young activists across Canada are working tirelessly in their communities right now to show people why Jagmeet is different. Their message is resonating – but we need the resources to help them mobilize across the country now.
