We need all hands on deck to defend a crucial seat for our Democratic bench in Illinois!
My friend and colleague Congresswoman Lauren Underwood is defending Illinois’ Fourteenth District in a toss-up race that’s still too close to call.
She’s currently behind by just about 1,000 votes, but vote-by-mail ballots can come until November 17th to turn this around! Her campaign can WIN, but they need an extra boost -- will you chip in whatever you can to make sure she has the resources to hold this seat?
Before she unseated a four-term Republican incumbent and made history as the youngest black woman to be sworn in to the House of Representatives, Lauren was a nurse and health policy expert who advised the Obama administration on implementing the Affordable Care Act and pandemic preparedness.
With SCOTUS’s conservative majority set to rule on the fate of the ACA on November 10th, we desperately need a champion for healthcare like her in Congress.
