YVETTE HERRELL WINS 2ND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT SEAT

New Mexicans in the 2nd Congressional District sent a strong message on Tuesday, declaring Yvette Herrell the winner with election returns showing she defeated Rep. Torres Small with 54% of the vote to Torres Small’s 46%. Herrell’s victory puts the Congressional seat back in the hands of Republicans. Herrell’s victory was a referendum on the incumbent’s liberal voting record in Washington, and voters spoke out for a Representative who promotes a real conservative agenda. The returns were a repudiation of Torres Small, whose inconsistent and deceitful voting record in Washington has hurt the District during the past two years. Voters decided they had had enough of the Representative’s radical record, hiding behind her moderate façade. Herrell will be sworn into Congress January 3, 2021.

NEW MEXICO SECRETARY OF STATE'S ELECTION VIOLATIONS MIRROR INFRACTIONS IN OTHER STATES

It appears the Democratic playbook this election across the country is to violate or ignore election laws in order to make political gains. New Mexico law clearly states that poll challengers are allowed to be a part of absentee ballot certification to help assure election integrity. In New Mexico, RPNM uncovered multiple election law violations: RPNM filed a lawsuit against the state to address poll workers wrongfully and illegally booted from a certification site in Dona Ana County. They were denied the right to do their job. Infractions happened in other counties as well. What has happened in New Mexico is now occurring in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. In all three of these states with Democratic governors, people are being excluded from the vote count. "The law is set up to prevent voter fraud. Just as President Trump is seeing comfortable leads evaporate in key states without having access allowed by law, several key races in New Mexico now hinge on a few ballots being
certified without Republicans being allowed access," said RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce.

TOP DEMOCRAT SAYS CD-2 WILL BE GERRYMANDERED AFTER YVETTE HERRELL VICTORY

Not even two days after Yvette Herrell won her race against Rep. Xochitl Torres Small, Democrat State House Speaker Brian Egolf is threatening that the Democrat-led legislature will redraw the District to favor Democrats. The Democrats only win when they cheat. "All he can think about are political tricks to make sure his weak candidates can win a district where Republicans are already outnumbered," said RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce said. The people of the 2nd District have spoken and chose a conservative voice to represent them in Congress. We can't let our state legislature dictate the voice of the people!
