National: What Does It All Mean? 🤔

Though the race for the President of the United States is still uncertain, we are certain of the results down the ballot. But what do they mean for the future of Texas and the United States?

State: On The Rise 📈

The Texas economy has continued its recovery since the economic shutdowns caused it to plummet due to COVID-19. While unemployment rates hit an unfathomable 13.5% in Texas, it has since shrunk to 8.3% in September. Slowly, but steadily moving in the right direction.

Texans can thank the reopening of many businesses for that - though there are still many businesses hurting and the shutdowns must be lifted, we are headed back in the right direction. Read more about how the Texas economy is doing in the Ginn Economic Brief!

Local: The Choice Is Yours 🙌

There were several bond packages proposed in Texas ahead of this election - the top ten totaling nearly $8,000,000,000... while some passed, some failed. What's better, however, is that during the 86th Session TPPF helped pass a law that requires cities to break-up bonds by subject matter. 

This is particularly important because out of the five bond propositions from Dallas ISD - totaling $3.7 billion - three were voted down. Now Texans won't be forced to accept omnibus ballot propositions. They will be able to choose what they want to support and what they don't. Read more below
