🌹🌹 Global Climate Walkout 🌹🌹

Friday, 9/20, starts at Cal Anderson Park at 9am, march at noon to Seattle City Hall. RSVP to Sue H. Meet the east side of the north tennis court. Support Fridays for the Future and the global movement to stop climate change. Until capital sees a disruption in its profits, the destruction will continue. Business as usual means food system collapse, fresh water shortages, desolation of massive amounts of land. We must act together to make it through and inspire others.

There is a Solidarity Fund for hourly workers concerned about loss of hours affecting their financial stability.
Contribute to the fund facilitated by 350.org or apply here for assistance.

Seattle DSA District 2 Meet Up: Democratic Socialists and Bernie Sanders’ Thurgood Marshall Plan for Education

September 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

School’s back in session and Bernie’s Thurgood Marshall Plan for Education is a plan to breathe life back into public education. The plan includes ending charter schools, guaranteeing higher education for every young person, forgiving student debt, combating racism in schools, making sure educators are paid fairly, and helping rebuild unions.

Come discuss what the upsurge in both teacher strikes and socialist politics mean for 2020 and how we can help get the first socialist elected president, begin rebuilding the labor movement, and build a socialist party that can help carry out Bernie’s education revolution.
