Like all of you, I’m anxiously awaiting the final results from the battleground states that are still counting votes in the race for the White House. But one thing we know for sure is that here in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Democrats had an excellent night this Tuesday.

In addition to sending our electoral votes to Vice President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, we’re sending every single Virginia Democrat in Congress back for another term. This couldn’t have happened without the support of each and every one of you who donated, volunteered, and did everything you could to get out the vote. So on behalf of everyone here at DPVA, thank you for your support.

From Mark Warner in the Senate to Elaine Luria, Bobby Scott, Don McEachin, Abigail Spanberger, Don Beyer, Jennifer Wexton, and Gerry Connolly in the House, we re-elected both longtime public servants and every one of the U.S. Representatives who flipped formerly red districts in 2018.

While we may not have been successful in flipping VA-01 and VA-05 this time around, we’re getting closer and closer every year. It’s clear that Virginia is now a solidly blue Commonwealth -- and we’re going to keep working to make it even bluer in future years.

That work begins immediately, with Virginia’s gubernatorial and state legislative elections set to take place this time next year. I know everyone is exhausted after this year’s election -- but if you’re ready and able to pitch in to help us get a head start on next year, you can do so here.
