Today I made a call I didn't expect to make. We brought on incredible election season field staffers to help us hand out comfort at the polls, voter guides, assistance, etc. Their last day was election day. And then there was a runoff. So today I asked our Atlanta temporary field staffer if he can stay on with the team through the runoff to get last minute IDs, register voters, help voters request new absentee ballots, hand out our runoff voter guide that is currently in the works, and provide rides and whatever else is needed in January. I didn't budget for this, but I can't not do it.
We started Spread The Vote in Georgia because there is a massive need for IDs across the state. For over three years we have worked hard obtaining IDs all over Georgia and getting voters to the polls. Now that there will be a massively important runoff in January, we're marshaling our end of year resources, calling our Georgia volunteers, and doing everything we can to make sure that we spend every day of the next two months working to get as many GA voters to the polls as possible. Again.
2020 is full of surprises and we are going to roll with each and every one. We thought we were done, but we're already back in the saddle. Can you help us make sure we have the resources we need to get out the vote one more time?
We've been with Georgia from day one, and we'll be there through the runoff.
Let's go again,
Kat
