Breast Cancer Industry Month is coming! Here's how to get ready for the onslaught of pink and challenge the breast cancer industry.

Hi
John,
At Breast Cancer Action, we've long called October “Breast Cancer Industry Month” because Breast Cancer Awareness Month has always been more about corporate profit than our health.

And we're already seeing lots of pink as October approaches and corporations start rolling out their profitable pink-ribbon marketing campaigns. You've helped us challenge pinkwashing corporations over the years, and it's almost time to join us again.

Here are three things you can do to get ready for Breast Cancer Industry month:

1. Support Breast Cancer Action through our “Don’t Pink for Me ([link removed]) ” campaign. Tell your friends and family “Don’t Pink for Me” and ask them to make a donation to Breast Cancer Action in your honor.

2. Brush up on our “Critical Questions for Conscious Consumers ([link removed]) ” so you’ll have the tools to look past the pink ribbons to see if your purchases have the impact you want and expect.

3. Help us get the word out about an exciting new project we'll be announcing later this week. We'll be back in touch very soon with more details!

We are counting down the days until we launch this year’s Think Before You Pink® campaign, so stay tuned to see how you can take action!

Best,

Jayla Burton
