Friend of Israel,
Every election has a profound impact on our work to strengthen and expand the U.S.-Israel relationship.
And while many new members were elected this week, AIPAC has already built strong pro-Israel relationships with the individuals who will soon cast critical votes for Israel’s security.
Prior to this week, AIPAC met with over 400 individuals whom we identified early on as viable candidates for office. As the votes continue to be counted nationwide, it is clear from the outcome of the races so far that the elected and reelected senators and representatives from both parties will be joining an overwhelmingly pro-Israel Congress.
More news from this week is below.
Best,

Israel’s Underground Sensory Concrete Barrier Exposes Hamas Terror Tunnel

For the first time, an underground barrier built by Israel successfully detected and exposed a Hamas terror tunnel originating from Gaza into Israeli territory. Still under development by the IDF engineering forces, the Sensory Concrete Barrier will help locate cross-border terror tunnels and provide an added layer to Israel's defensive capabilities.
"The discovery of the tunnel last week is a huge achievement for the state of Israel and the Army," said Maj. Amir. "It was very impressive and professional, and we managed to stop the enemy from advancing."
AIPAC has lobbied Congress to fund vital U.S.-Israel anti-tunnel cooperation. Over the last four years, the United States has allocated $177.5 million for these life-saving programs. This summer, the House passed $47.5 million for anti-tunnel cooperation and AIPAC continues to work to ensure that both the House and Senate pass this funding.

On Wednesday, federal officials said they seized 27 websites linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for allegedly posing as news outlets to spread disinformation.
This followed the seizure of 92 Iranian domains in October that targeted American voters.
Last month, Iranian hackers launched an operation posing as a far-right group sending threatening emails to American voters and also posted a video aimed at driving down confidence in the voting process.
