Going into Election Day, we expected a Democratic takeover and a firm repudiation of Trump and the racism, xenophobia, misogyny, corruption, and disastrous leadership that he and the GOP embody.

But that didn't happen -- the race still remains too close to call.

Republicans are already exclaiming that this is because Americans who support Trump's agenda are the true "silent majority." However, Joe Biden has already broken Obama's record for most votes ever cast for a U.S. presidential candidate -- so which is it?
