Three new staff members join the Lt. Governor's team

Recently, a new staff member joined the Office of Community and Rural Affairs and the Lt. Governor?s Business Office welcomed two new staff to the Grant Services team.

Bolanle Oladokun joined OCRA as a new CDBG Program Manager. She has been working for the state for three years, previously serving at the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) as Secured School Safety Grant Team Lead. During her time with IDHS, she obtained several certificates from FEMA, established standards for state and federal grants, and participated in the Joint Information Center for the 2018 floods. She has a B.A. in Communication Studies from Manchester University and a M.S. in Strategic Leadership and Design from the University of Indianapolis. Outside of work, Bolanle enjoys movies, yoga, writing, and learning new skills like coding, photography and video editing.

John Hayden and Tim Parthun joined the Lt. Governor?s Business Office as Grant Services Program Managers.

Prior to joining the Lt. Governor?s Office, Tim Parthun worked at the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority on Indiana?s Blight Elimination Program. For more than five years, he assisted with helping Hoosier communities eliminate blighted residential structures to improve neighborhood safety and appearance while also helping to reduce foreclosures in Indiana?s hardest hit neighborhoods.

Tim has a B.A. in Political Science from Butler University and a M.P.A. in Public Management from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Originally from northern Indiana, he quickly fell in love with Indianapolis and chose to make the city his new home.

?I love the history behind Indianapolis and am a huge Indiana history buff,? said Parthun. ?I look forward to getting to know many of you as our paths cross and I am so excited to be helping our Hoosier communities in this new role.?

Prior to joining the Lt. Governor?s Office, John Hayden worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at the JW Marriott Indianapolis. He received his B.A. in Tourism, Convention and Event Management from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He joins the Lt. Governor?s Business Office with a thorough knowledge of billing and the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on customer service. Originally from Evansville, he moved to Indianapolis a decade ago and has been in love with the city ever since. When he?s not at work, John can be found walking along the various Indianapolis cultural districts or at home baking.
