InSight Crime has launched a multi-year investigation delving into three different facets of organized crime in the Americas: the role of gender, the reconfiguration of the State to serve criminal organizations, and the way crime groups influence peace processes. These big questions will form the backbone of research and field work in the Central American countries of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua, and in the South American countries of Venezuela and Colombia.
