One of the first things out of Trump’s mouth on election night was a declaration of victory, followed by a threat to challenge future ballot counting in the Supreme Court. And now, he’s made good on his words, filing lawsuits to stop the counting of votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
Donald Trump called the millions of legal mail-in ballots cast over the last several weeks by American voters “a major fraud on our nation,” and said that, “We want all voting to stop. We don’t want them to find any ballots at four o’clock in the morning and add them to the list.”
We know Trump is desperately attempting to stop the counting of mail-in ballots because, if all votes were fairly counted, he’ll lose. But during his disastrous four years in office, he stacked the Supreme Court with loyal justices who could completely ignore the voices of the American people. By stealing this election, he would steal another four years to treat white supremacists as “very fine people”, put immigrant children in cages, and call African nations “sh*ithole countries”.
