=============================

Friends,

We always knew that our organizing doesn’t end on Election Day. We continue to fight, day after day, to build a world where our futures are determined by our communities, not by corporations and politicians whose wealth is built by stealing from people of color and working people. After working round the clock to mobilize a record number of voters and make sure nothing interfered with their right to cast a ballot, our affiliates didn’t miss a beat. They took to the streets with a clear message: For democracy to work for all of us, every eligible voter must have our voices heard and our votes counted.

In Green Bay, Citizen Action Wisconsin members came together throughout the state to ensure every vote was counted.

In Atlanta, Georgia Stand UP mounted a herculean effort to provide round-the-clock voter care at early voting sites and to make sure that folks knew how, when, and where to vote.

In Detroit, our newest affiliate, Detroit Action, continues to mobilize because while Michigan has been called, votes still need to be certified.

With all eyes on Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh United and POWER in Philadelphia are marching in large numbers to demand that every vote is counted. More than 35,000 mail-in ballots remain to be counted in Allegheny County.

Our network’s leaders are also rallying for the integrity of the elections in Chicago, Arizona, Seattle, and throughout California. There are multiple events planned for Saturday, Nov. 7 to celebrate that the people have spoken and to continue defending our democracy.

Thank you to all of you who are out there with us making sure that the noise of our movement is louder than the disinformation and dog whistling of those who want to stop the vote count prematurely. We’ll be sharing ongoing updates over email and on social media.
