The balance of power in the Senate is TIGHT.
It could all come down to one race: Democratic challenger Raphael Warnock facing off against Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler in the state of Georgia. It’s a special election, and it won’t happen until January -- which means we have until then to fight like hell.
We’ve been hoping for a Democratic trifecta this entire election cycle -- House, Senate, and White House. We’ve already got the House, and we’re well on our way to the presidency. But some Americans, many of them Democrats, like the idea of a split Congress. The argument for letting the GOP keep the Senate is normally based around checks and balances, even though we’ve seen Republicans disregard those every chance they get.
