Thank you for everything you did to get us here.

Hi John --

I am so honored and humbled that the people of Maine’s Second District have voted to entrust me with representing them for another term in the United States Congress. This is your victory, and I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to get me here.

We won this race the same way we won two years ago -- by running a campaign powered by the people, and by speaking directly to the issues affecting Maine’s working families. We also did something special by running a positive campaign and inviting my constituents to help deliver that positive message. Our victory shows that voters are hungry for a positive tone and civility in the public space.

Over the past two years, I’ve done my best to represent the people of this district with the kind of independent leadership that they deserve. And over the next two years, I pledge to continue that same approach as we grapple with the many challenges still facing our country.

But I couldn’t have gotten here without the dedication and support of this grassroots team, so from the bottom of my heart: Thank you.

Yours in service,

Jared
