Hi there,

Results are still rolling in and races are still being called across the country, but we couldn't wait to share some REALLY exciting news with you.

This year, EMILY's List is celebrating some HISTORIC firsts as our candidates win their elections at the state and local level, many of them in tight races they couldn't have won without the support of this community.

Donate to help elect more groundbreaking EMILY's List candidates to change the face of power across the country:

Sarah McBride (DE-SD01) became the highest ranking transgender legislator in the entire country with her win this year, and Stephanie Byers (KS-HD86) became the first openly transgender legislator in Kansas history.

Mauree Turner (OK-HD88) is now the first Muslim legislator in Oklahoma history, and Iman Jodeh (CO-HD41) is the first Muslim in the Colorado General Assembly.

In Minnesota, Mary Kunesh-Podein (MN-SD41) will become the first Native woman in the Minnesota State Senate.

With her win, Holly Mitchell ensured that Los Angeles will have an all-women County Board of Supervisors for the first time ever.

We also celebrated wins for the LGBTQ+ community: Jessica Benham (PA-HD36) is the first openly Autistic LGBTQ+ member of the Pennsylvania House (and one of the first openly Autistic legislators in the entire United States!) and Cecelia González (NV-AD16) is the first LGBTQ+ Asian legislator in Nevada history.

And these are just some of the 270 wins we've seen so far, with many more races yet to be called.

State and local officeholders don't always make the front page of the news, but they work on policy that affects the everyday lives of all of their constituents. Having more diverse, inclusive, and representative elected officials at this level means more equitable leadership in our neighborhoods and communities. That's the kind of grassroots progress that can change the face of power nationwide.

And it's your support that makes it possible.

Can you donate today to help even more women run -- and WIN -- at the state and local level?
