John,
It has been a busy few days. While we are still waiting for some
states to declare a winner, we have already gotten a ton of
good news.
First, we raised the percentage of Jewish voters supporting the
Republican presidential nominee to 30.5%, the highest
percentage in over 30 years. We also know that we will likely hold the
Senate majority and pick up seats in the House - which absolutely
defies the predictions of experts and pollsters.
We are so proud that our efforts helped President Trump secure between 41-43% of
the Jewish vote in Florida, according to the
Associated Press and Fox News - a historic achievement within the
Jewish community of Florida.
This was achieved by spending $3.5
million on ads, making 254,529 calls, and sending 250,000 mail pieces
all to Florida Jewish voters. We also saw our efforts pay off in
Pennsylvania, where we made 145,472 calls and 26,617 texts, and in
Florida, where we made 254,529 calls and 73,775 texts.
Here’s how we did it: our staff and volunteers worked their
tails off. We held 67 Virtual Days of Action targeting key
battleground states (Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, and
Pennsylvania). Those days of action helped fuel 551,402 phone calls
made to undecided and persuadable Jewish voters in those battleground
states.
Those calls were made by our terrific volunteers, and this year we
doubled our number of volunteers from 1,000 in 2016 to 2,075 this
year. Our volunteers and staff sent 144,271 texts to undecided and
persuadable battleground state Jewish votes. We also sent 204,225
emails to our group of targeted Jewish voters. In total, we contacted
our Jewish voter targets nearly 900,000 times.
And what fueled all that
terrific work? The help of donors like you.
Donors funded our state of the art data analytics and polling.
Donors funded our phone and text tools. Donors funded our direct mail.
Donors funded our TV and digital ads. Frankly, donors make everything
we do possible - and for that I am grateful.
I know it’s hard to think about, but while we continue to be
focused on closing 2020 out with securing four more years for
President Trump and securing our Senate majority, we have legislative
battles on the horizon and important work to do to keep our
technological edge over the Jewish Democrats in 2022 and beyond. Will
you help us continue delivering wins for you?
Sincerely,
Sen. Norm Coleman RJC National Chairman
