Great news from one of our biggest California races: Todd Gloria just won the San Diego mayoral race! Todd makes history as the first openly LGBTQ person and first person of color elected mayor of San Diego!

This win is particularly satisfying as Todd faced an onslaught of anti-LGBTQ attacks and even death threats from online trolls and QAnon, an online hate group. But Todd didn’t let this derail his campaign. He stuck to his messaging and laid out his plan to improve the lives of San Diegans. And his dedication paid off!

We’re so excited that Todd defeated these anti-LGBTQ trolls and made LGBTQ history. But in 2020, we saw the number of attacks drastically increase, and we’re expecting more hate in 2021. If you can make another generous donation to power our work for 2021, we appreciate it!
