“The battle between Democratic Rep. Lauren Underwood
and GOP state Sen. Jim Oberweis… remain[s] unresolved.”
-- The Chicago Sun-Times
Our Republican opponent has been spewing dangerous rhetoric this entire campaign -- and that hasn’t stopped, because yesterday he attempted to claim victory in a Facebook video.
But Jim Oberweis doesn’t get to decide this election -- the voters do.
One official in Lake County, Illinois said it’s "absurd" and "literally impossible for [Oberweis] to know the outcome of this race before all of the ballots have been counted."
Can you add a grassroots donation to our campaign to help ensure every vote is counted and make sure that Lauren pulls into the lead? We’re trying to raise $15,000 for this critical effort: [[link removed]]

There are thousands of ballots yet to be counted in our race, and election officials are working diligently to process those ballots. And after reviewing publicly available data, we are confident that we will reelect Lauren Underwood.
We’ll be honest: We knew this could be a possibility going into election day.
So we have been preparing for this moment. When every vote is counted and every voice is heard, we are going to win this race.
That’s why we’re asking you to add a donation to help us raise $15,000 so we can send poll watchers to every county in our district and fight back against the voter suppression tactics being deployed by the GOP [[link removed]] . [[link removed]]
Keep fighting,
Team Underwood
