As You Sow
The nation's leading non-profit shareholder advocate, changing corporations for good
[link removed]

Dear John,

Workplace discrimination and systemic racism are pervasive. The horrifying death of George Floyd shocked our nation into confronting these issues; the ongoing uprising has brought voice to an overwhelming call to re-evaluate our most fundamental beliefs and institutions. These issues are both a material risk and an unprecedented opportunity for every company.

To address the underlying injustice embedded in corporate policies and practices, As You Sow gathered research on the 250 largest companies in the S&P on their racial justice and workplace equity programs, policies, and disclosures.

Join us on November 18 at 11AM (PT) to explore this data, including 32 key performance indicators on Workplace Equity disclosures and 18 on Racial Justice. We will demonstrate an online tool that enables sorting and comparisons by sector, market cap, number of employees, and geography. Each company is scored against its peers, in rankings that:

1. Highlight leading companies

2. Identify best practices

3. Inform shareholder engagements with laggard companies that need encouragement in their transition to a more economically just society.

Panelists:
Olivia Knight, As You Sow, Racial Justice Initiative Coordinator
Meredith Benton, Workplace Equity Program Manager, Consultant to As You Sow, and Principal, Whistle Stop Capital
Patience Marime-Ball, CEO, Women of the World Endowments
Andrew Behar, CEO, As You Sow (Moderator)
