The Morris County Democratic Committee is deeply saddened to announce that former Parsippany Mayor Mimi Letts passed away last night at the age of 80. Mimi served three terms as Mayor of Parsippany, the largest town in our county. She served as the sole Democrat in what was then a solidly Republican town.

"Mimi Letts was an amazing leader, mentor, and friend," wrote Mayor Soriano, "Her contribution to Parsippany was significant and she will be missed. Our deepest condolences to Howard and their family." Mayor Soriano has ordered all flags in Parsippany to fly at half mast for the remainder of the week in Mayor Letts' honor.
